1) Cornwall Business Awards
The most prestigious business awards ceremony in Cornwall with celebrity speakers and a black-tie dinner and legendary after party. The awards are the feature event for Cornwall business week which this year is in a new slot in April.
The awards are organised and presented by Cornwall Development Company, Cornwall Council’s economic development service, working with key economic development agencies to provide a range of services to local industry.
2) The Cornwall Tourism Awards
The Cornwall Tourism awards, now in their 16th year are a way to stand out with the 4.3 million staying visitors and 14.7million day visitors and get a bigger slice of the £2.6billion contribution to the Cornish economy.
Entrants are put through their paces with top scoring applicants having a mystery shopper visit to test the business out in real life.
Held in November are a chance for local tourism businesses to make their mark nationally with the winners being put forward for the regional South West and those lucky winners competing for Visit England titles.
3) Cornwall Sustainability Awards
Launched in 2002 the Cornwall Sustainability awards aims to encourage and reward businesses seeking to improve their own sustainability, and that of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly as a whole.
“Sustainable” businesses are ones that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Previous winners have seen a taxi company, farming machinery and a housing developer win the top prizes.
Launching in March with a closing date in October there is plenty of time to get your entry in.

4) Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards
It only its third year, the Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards has quickly become well established as one of the leading training awards in the South West.
Hosted by Truro and Penwith College they look for employers with outstanding commitment to apprenticeships; as well as those outstanding trainees apprentices that have stood out with their achievements and contribution to the success of a business.

5) Excellence in Business Training Awards
The Excellence in Business Training awards have recognised the outstanding commitment to training by local businesses for over ten years.
At a at a black-tie ceremony in January, hosted by Cornwall College Business the awards celebrate the most innovative, effective and inspirational initiatives achieved by large and small employers as well as outstanding training programs and individual achievements.
Entries are open thought-out October to put your business in contention for the 2018 awards.
6) FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards for South West
Just launched by the Federation of Small Business the awards are free and easy to enter online with the opportunity to upload a short video to support your application.
The awards open to both members and non-members of the FSB. The awards will be judged by region and then go on to compete with businesses across the UK at a ceremony in London in May.
7) The Hub Awards
The Hub was started in 2002 aiming to create a fun and dynamic forum for likeminded business people to meet in an informal setting for people put off by traditional networking events.

8) The Western Morning News Business Awards
Recognising the best in South West business for 6 years, the awards recognise all sizes of business with gongs for best start up, best micro and best family business and all sectors with awards for retail, manufacturing and creative businesses.

9) Made in Cornwall Awards
The Made in Cornwall Awards are part of the Cornwall Council scheme to recognise and promote Cornwall as a special place, rich in heritage and outstanding natural beauty.
As well as home to a vibrant business community producing Cornish-made products in an extensive range of areas from artistic and hand crafted items, speciality food and drink, through to highly specialist technical products.
This year the awards will be in December with details announced soon.
10) Cornwall Edge Awards
New kid on the block, in its first year Cornwall Edge awards recognises all things tech and digital, with best internet of things development and software design. But its not just for tech businesses everyone can get involved with awards for the best website and best social engagement campaign.
